Roadster motorbike camper: specifications and features of one of the most popular Australian-French camper trailer designed for road and off-road adventures

The previous page provided detailed description of Roadster motorcycle camper trailer, especially designed for vast Australian territories. As it should be expected (given its small size) it does not have amenities allowing longer “out-of-civilization” trips. However, thanks to an ample ground clearance and at the same time low gravity center it will be behave nicely not only at high-speed highways but also during off-road excursions. 

Once the roof-top-tent is folded-out it provides safe and comfortable sleeping place

Compact on the road; the front nose-cone shaped lockable box is is easy accessible regardless of tent configuration. It is also the case of the main storage space which is accessible from the rear side of the trailer

Thanks to their compact, “flatpack” form when living the factory line, they can be shipped from Perth all-over Australia and easily assembled by owners (sort of Ikea-furniture strategy).

Roadster is easy to store when unused and "safe" when on-the-road (see underbelly-mounted spare wheel)

Construction details:

• Body and frame:  pressed electro-plate galvanized steel (optionally powder-coated)
• Suspension: Alko torsion-bar
• Color: Can match the color of the motorbike (option)
• Nose-cone box: aluminum checker-plate protection
• Tent: Breathable Rip-stop Poly-Cotton fabrics w/insulated aluminum floorboard.
• Awning: Lite, UV/Waterproof fabrics covering 54 sq.ft (5 sq.m) area

Swivel coupling greatly increases maneuverability

Two symmetrically mounted on each side of the trailer Jerry-cans can be dedicated either for extra fuel or water

Summarizing: Roadster is a sturdy French-Erda based camper trailer modified for Australian conditions. It is designed for motorbikes, however its taller version can be also towed by small cars. It provides all you may need on short trips to the nature: Safe above the ground sleeping space in the Roof-Top Tent, large storage space for camping gear and lockable front box for easily accessible tools and gear.
