    Ameri-Lite is a series of travel trailers manufactured by Gulf Stream – one of the leading companies in RV industry operating since 1983. 

      The series includes 5 models of travel trailers in Super-Lite family ranging in length from 17’2” to 20’1” and 10 models in Ultra-Lite family ranging in length from 22’7” to 32’6”.

The latter are large, mostly luxurious, “richly loaded” models with slide-outs offering a residential-like environment.

That is why in our series of presentations dedicated to small travel trailers we will focus on the smallest member of the family  - the SuperLite model 14RBC.

      The 14RBC is designed to offer the comfortable vacations “away from home” for two people.  The kitchen is equipped with two-burner cooktop, one-bowl sink with faucet, refrigerator, microwave oven, a countertop with large working area and abundance of cabinetry including overhead ones. The front-end dinette makes a nice “eating-corner” which converts to large bed for night. The sofa facing the kitchen offers an extra seating space where you can relax while 6’4” interior height guarantees more than needed room for living.

On the back of the trailer there is a spacious wardrobe as well as “hard-walled” (private) bathroom with shower/tub and toilet. Overhead cabinets located all around the trailer provide enough of storage room for whatever you may need on your longer trip.

The trailers are built rather traditionally. The tubular steel frame and full-width steel outriggers hold the trailer’s shell made from sturdy wood sidewalls, solid wood rafters, screwed and glued strong wood roof as well as 5/8” floor decking. The thick, energy-saving fiberglass, bonded to walls insulation provides thermal protection in ceiling, walls and floor. The aluminum siding with the layer of baked enamel provides the exterior protection. It is worth to note that the underbelly is covered by a layer of polymax. It overlaps sides and ends to provide a lasting protection against infiltration of water, moisture and debris.

Similarly, the seamless rubber roof provides good and lasting protection (12 years manufacturer’s warranty) from weather elements.

The reduced width (only 7 ft) increases the visibility when towing, reduces the aerodynamic profile and obviously increases the fuel efficiency.

Generous water tanks capacity (30/36/36 gallons) offer significant “out of the civilization” autonomy.
